I waited for about 15 minutes and watched the water.
Why did I stop? Because of a literal sign in the sand:
“Need prayer? Tap me on the shoulder.”
I didn’t need a prayer; I wanted to know more about the man behind the sign.
But no one was there. Just the sign, a towel, and a surfboard cover. Eventually, Glen emerged from the ocean with his surfboard.
We talked about God, prayer, and how much power we already carry within ourselves. Glen believes we spend too much time thinking evil is powerful when, through God, we are the powerful ones.
Since my husband died, many people have told me that we are far more powerful than we realize. What say you? Do you think we are?
PS: Do you know Glen?
PSS: I walk Virginia Beach looking for people I don’t know and asking them about their lives. Sign up for the PVB newsletter to meet everyone I meet.
